About Plunge Peak
Helping you approach cold plunge therapy the right way
Practical, honest, and well-researched guidance on cold plunge therapy, recovery, and cold water immersion — written for people who want to understand it before they try it.
Our mission
Plunge Peak exists to give people clear, science-aware, and beginner-friendly information about cold plunge therapy, ice baths, and contrast therapy — so they can decide, safely and confidently, whether and how to include it in their own routine.
We focus on three things in everything we publish: explaining what the research actually says (not what sounds impressive), being upfront about who should be cautious or avoid cold exposure altogether, and reviewing gear honestly, including its downsides.
Why this site exists
Plunge Peak was started after noticing how much conflicting, exaggerated, or overly technical information exists around cold plunge therapy. Some sources oversell it as a cure-all; others bury useful guidance under jargon. We wanted a single place that treats readers as capable adults: here’s what the evidence suggests, here’s what’s still uncertain, and here’s how to get started safely.
The site is actively maintained and updated as new research, gear, and reader questions come in.
